Our Policies

Writing Through Privacy Policy

Writing Through respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy will tell you about how we look after your personal data, your privacy rights and how the law protects you. This Privacy  Policy gives you information on how we collect and process your personal data through your use of our website and in other interactions with us that are set out further below. It’s important that you read this Privacy Policy together  with any additional privacy notice we give on specific occasions so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data.

Writing Through Child Protection Policy

As an organization working with children, Writing Through is committed to a strict Child Protection Policy to ensure that children participating in its projects are not exposed toabuse, exploitation, violence or neglect. The guidelines in this Child Protection Policy protect both the child from abuse and adults from unfounded allegations.

Writing Through Social Media Policy

Social media is an important way of communicating Writing Through’s message to our students, NGO partners,
volunteers, donors and the wider community. Personal opinions from those known to work for or volunteer with Writing
Through have the potential to influence the way in which Writing Through is seen, and so we need to have clear guidelines
about the way in which our team should talk about Writing Through and its NGO partners, both professionally and in their
personal accounts.
This policy deals with the use of all forms of social media, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Wikipedia,
Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube and all other social networking sites, internet postings and blogs. It applies to the use of social
media for business purposes as well as personal use that may affect our activities in any way.

Writing Through Anti-Racism Statement

At Writing Through, we have always worked to amplify the voices of the marginalized and oppressed. Everyone deserves to be heard. Our mission has always been to help encourage all people to know that they do, indeed, have a voice, and we help give them the tools to understand their thinking and express their thoughts.
